want to start saving up for now. This fresh new convertible was recently unveiled at the Paris car show. This sports car offers everything that one has come to expect for Lexus and a whole lot more. The only thing that buyers seem to be a bit disappointed about is the fact that it only has a V6 engine. Both the Lexus 250C and the 350C have been completely redesigned. These two vehicles have won a lot of acclaim for being a luxury sport sedan that leans more towards luxury than sport.
The 2010 Lexus IS 250C has been given stylish curves that are not too popular among the sports car enthusiasts. It is obvious that they were going for a more luxurious feel than a sporty feel. As a result, this model of car more so resembles the SC 430. This car, while popular, has never been too big among sports car enthusiasts. So while the new IS 250 is still bringing about a lot of excitements, many among the sports car community feel that it should have some more straight lines, versus the effeminate curves.
The new Lexus IS features a folding convertible top that nicely can be stowed away in the trunk. Both models of the new IS feature a subtle rear spoiler that adds some style and nuance to the overall design. The lack of a V8 engine has many disappointed though. At a time when all the major brands are releasing new V8 models, Lexus is releasing a sports car that only has the V6. Even for a V6 the engine is weaker than most and has only the horsepower of a V4. This leaves Lexus fans wondering just what the company could be thinking.
While it is true that in the sport car department, the new Lexus IS does leave much to be desired, where it really shines is in the luxury car department. In many ways the car is similar to the Lexus Saloon. It features an instrument panel, surrounding elements, and a steering wheel that are almost identical to that model. The instrument binnacle has been redone though in order to increase visibility when the vehicle’s top is down. The climate control system features top down motoring which increases air flow as the roof is lowered.
The comfort of this ride is also difficult to match. Since this car features double front wishbone and multi-link suspension it maintains a very smooth performance. The ride is further enhanced thanks to the changes made to the chassis design. This is also an area where the car is almost identical to the Saloon. It has been given the same strict tests as that model and has been held to the same standard. The car also features super low noise as it has been outfitted with acoustic glass windscreen.
